We thought you might like to know a little bit about us:

We are a two person team who do all of our art-work by hand. We paint directly onto the material with special durable fabric paints.

This means that every single T-Shirt is a unique one-off. All of our garments’ designs are original and we are fully involved at every stage of the creative process.

We have been painting on canvas for many years... However, as far as the clothing is concerned, in one way or another we have been making hand-painted T-Shirts for over ten years.

It all began when we decided to make T-Shirts for friends as presents for birthdays and the like … Our T-Shirts went down well. From time to time our friends would come back to us asking if we would do any more for them. After this had happened several times we decided to begin making a few extra.

So, that’s how it all started … Slowly, at first, with nothing more in our minds than wishing to make some original presents for friends. Then, little by little, people’s enthusiasm for them encouraged us to embark properly on putting our art-work and humour and slogans onto T-Shirts in a more professional manner; and no longer merely for the people we knew.

Once that was decided, the next step was for us to spend our summers taking our ‘shop’ from festival to festival.If you’ve happened to visit us at our BANANAMEINHOFF shop, you’ll know that we have many other items in addition to our T-Shirts. Probably, the principle of these is our dresses and skirts that we make from 100% recycled materials. Since, every single one of them is different it is impossible for us to put these on our website (if, however, there’s anything you see at our shop which you’d like us to send you – as long as you can describe it, and we still have it – we’ll do our best).

We really enjoy what we are doing. We are producing colourful and striking original art and design, as we always did. Now we are doing it directly onto T-Shirts, which people tell us they enjoy wearing.

The final stage for us has been to set up our website.
