Ethical/Environmental Approach

There are two main strands to what we do:

Original Hand-Painted T-Shirts; and Clothing which we design and make ourselves (not yet available online).

In addition to our online site, we travel around to festivals with our shop.

• Our dresses are made by us from 100% recycled materials
• We bank ethically
• At the end of our summers of festival-going we offset our emissions
• We reuse and recycle virtually everything to do with our Clothes-Making and T-Shirt painting, and our shop in general*
• We use exclusively energy-saving light bulbs
• We never leave anything on standby
• We try to use our vehicle as little as possible, and/or car-share
• Soon our festival shop will be exclusively solar-powered, by our own solar panel(s)

* In our everyday lives we get through approximately 1 full black bin-liner of rubbish every 8 weeks.

We are attempting to be as ethical and environmental and non-exploitative as possible. We are improving all the time – and we are trying our best. We are also aware of where improvements have to be made – and these areas we are constantly working on. Sometimes improvements in certain areas are less quick than in others – but we are getting there.

We are not doing any of this for business reasons – we are doing it because away from T-Shirts and Clothes-Making this is how we try to live our everyday lives. We want what we do to reflect what we believe.

We are attempting to leave as small a ‘footprint’ as is possible… We’re not there yet – but we are really trying. We are getting there …
